virtual controller not found

I just downloaded and installed the RobotStudio School Edition. It can not find the virtual controller. I do not have a firewall going. I have tried both the ip address for my local computer (this has worked before w/ 5.10), and the IP adress suggested in the manual (192.168.125.2) but nothing shows up when I try and add a controller.

In RobotStudio 5.10 I had the same problem and then out of the blue it found the virtual controller using my local IP adress, but this is not something I expect to be able to repeat.

 

I am using subnet 255.255.255.0.

    Hi,

    In the Online tab you can only connect to physical (real) robot controller. Use the Offline tab to work with virtual controllers.
