Network issue

hi. I have 2 pc connected in a network and in one pc i have robotstudio running a controller and in the other i have a program doing network scan to find the controllers, but i never find it. In both pc i've disable the firewalls. That am i doing wrong? thanks

Hi drake.I have never tried to scan for a VC from one PC to another but only real robots. If you run your scan on the same pc as the VC do you then find it as 127.0.0.1?BR KlausBest Regards

Because we do not want to clog networks with unwanted traffic, IRC5 virtual controllers does not broadcast their presence over the network. This means that they will only show up on a scan on the local PC, but never remote.
So your firewall/blocking settings have nothing to do with this.John
