Virtual Controller failed

Hello,
 

After updating IE7 to IE8 and installling Mcafee as a service I can not open a station in RW5.14.02. The message is:

 

"There was a problem when initializing the Virtual Controller.
            RobVCFactory.Launch failed,hr=c0040701

            The release directory C:PROGRAM FILESABB INDUSTRIAL ITROBOTICS    ITMEDIAPOOLRobotWare_5.14.0204

           is missing or corrupt,and cannot be used when launching a VC.

    Select Retry to start the system again or Cancel to remove the system."

 

I check the directory and it is OK, in fact I can not open any station with different robotware versions.

Firewire is disabled.

I try to repair the installation but the problem is not fixed.

Any ideas.

    Hi,

    If you have verified the path and it worked fine before the software update, I'm pretty sure that McAffe is where to focus... Make sure that all RS processes are marked as exceptions in McAffe.
