3rd Party Controller with RobotStudio

Hello,

I'm  Student from Austria currently writing on my Bachelor of Science thesis. In this thesis I am going to show if you can control a Robot via Robotstudio with a conventional Gaming Controller. In my case it is the Razer Hydra. I only know the basics about RobotStudio and not very much about programming either.

So I wondered if I could get a little help an some answers.

The questions are:

Is it possible to control a six-axed-robot via RobotStudio an the control of above mentioned Controller (or any other)?

If so, how can i accomplish that?

What movement the robot does is nearly irrelevant. It just has to move a little. Also I just need the solution for a simulation, I don't have an actual six-axed robot that I can use.

Maybe my problem is easily solved. Maybe it's nearly impossibl (e.g. too complex for a Bachelor's thesis)
Every answer is appreciated.

best regards

Benedikt

  • Hi Klaus,
Yes I remember that, but I'm afraid I don't know who the students was.

  • Hi,

I found a paper about the Wii-Mote and ABB robots by Marcus Nielsen, Michael Stenbacka. I'm reading it but unfortunately it doesn't say much about coding add-ins. Is there a place where I can find tutorials about programming Add-Ins for RS?
