Cutting PP for S4 or develop own?

Hi John,

Please forgive me for asking too many questions. I understand that powerful software packages such as SafeMove and PowerPacs are available on RobotStudio 5.xx versions for IRC5 controllers.
I have older robots with S4C controllers and I am assigned to develop programs for them to cut customized shapes out of shear metal.  Now my question is that, is there any equivalent program to Cutting PowerPac with graphical interface written for S4 or S4C controllers, or do I need to write a GUI of my own to communicate with the controller and control the CNC machine?

Many thanks in advance,

Massie

  • Sorry Massie, I've had too much to do and missed your question since it was in the old topic. I took the liberty to move it to a topic of its own.

There was indeed a Mechanical Cut PowerPac for RobotStudio 4.
But I haven't used it so I don't know if its the same functionality as you have in Cutting PowerPac for IRC5.
