Robot studio 6.01 system catalog is empty

Please help! When you open a file of example program does not find the system as the directory that contains it is empty. Where can I download the installation files that contain the system pool? Or is it a feature of the trial version?

  • RobotWare is installed with RobotStudio from version 6 onwards. The trial version is complete and contains everything.

The first thing you need to do is to create and start your virtual controller. The easiest way it to do File -> New -> Solution with Station and Robot Controller -> Create new (select RobotWare and robot model, i.e. IRB 140) -> Create

The system will be created and started and the corresponding robot imported into the station. At this point you can open a RAPID program from the controller tab.

  • I did. The program writes: The system could not be created (in window) and output - Exception^ Product installation is failed for new system creation Internal Error (((
  • Please report the problem to your local ABB Robotics Service representative (see http://www.abb.com/contacts), or, alternatively, upload the RobotStudio support logs and a screen shot of the error message so that we can get a better understanding of the error message.

    From the RobotStudio Operating Manual:

Generate a Full Scan with the RobotStudio Support Tool available next to RobotStudio in the Start menu. (Click Start > Programs > ABB Industrial IT > Robotics IT > RobotStudio > RobotStudio Support Tool, then click on Run Full Scan and then click Save Report. Save this report and attach it with your problem description.

    Kind regards,
