creating safe zones without safe move

Hello to all, as we all know hardware and software for safe move option is pretty expensive. Is there a way that we can use safety inputs and maybe world zones in order to make IRB 460 to work on 2 different pallets, but once one pallet is finished operator can enter it safely while robot is running on other pallet.Maybe another alternative would be a switch on the base of the robot to work in correlation with light curtain. Any other ideas. Thanks a lot in advance.

You would be violating safety regulations by using world zones like that. Limit switches are the old school way to go, and cheaper.Lee Justice1

Also, there is an option for Electronic Position Switches, EPS. Functionally the same, but with a safety controller and no real limit switches. Cheaper than safemove, I am sure.Lee Justice1

The limit switches need to be safety rated, but as Lee said are the way it used to be done.
