Search_1D part detection in RS Simulation

Hello all,

Im trying to run a simulation showing the search capabilities of Smartac, Im running the one dimensional wire search template to detect the displacement along the x-axis. The problem that I'm having is that the part is not detected when it comes in contact with the welding wire. I've tried playing with collision sets and ensured the part is detectable by sensors, but still no luck. Is this something that RS can do, if so, how?
