How can I place a box on the conveyor, which has a pipe surface?

My project is to do a palletizing. First I need to place a box on the conveyor, it's the base. From that the robot should pick it up. How can I set the position of the box? It has to be on the surface of the conveyor. What settings should I use? One point placement?

    What I would do is the following: 

    Redefine the local origin of the box to be the point of contact.  
    select the part->modify->set local origin-> use snap mid or snap center on the bottom of your box

    Then go to "position" on the box and use snap edge to place the box on the edge of your cylinder.
