ABB IRB2600ID mounted on one axis Gantry for Welding

Is there any thing called recommended robot configuration when its based is mounted on one axis gantry ?
or can you give me some recommendation or points to be aware about it ?

It would be easiest integration wise, and probably give better motion control if you used an ABB robotics motor unit or gearmotor unit for moving the gantry.
You can order flexible (drag chain rated) cables with these units.
If the robot will be mounted upside down (inverted) you will need to make sure the robot model you choose is rated to be mounted this way.0 -
You can use either IRBT2005 with IRC5 or IRT510 with OmniCore for non-invert installation case. Both are official ABB track motion products.0
