How to modify points via ethernet?

Hi,
I need to write a PC software that can read points in a program or routine, so that the user can modify their coordinates and send them back to the robot via ethernet.
What's the best way to do it? OPC server maybe?
Have yo got any example of something like that?

Hi Siam,
good exemple is ShopFloorEditor (ABB software) that do what you want, with FTP connection.
You can create a Synchronisable copy of the programs, so what you modify is sent to the robot.
