Run ICR5 without Flexpendant?
Could we run IRC5 without Flexpendant connected? If it is possible, do we need connect any terminator or so to replace the Flexpendant? Any setup needed?
Thanks!

The IRC 5 Product Manual has 2 options. 3HAC 021785-001 Rev F pg 69.
Option 702-2 Hot Plug is now available.
The FlexPendant can be disconnected and reconnected
without breaking the safety chain and affecting the
program execution. Connector plug included. Available
also for remote panel.
See the IRC 5 Product Manual 3HAC021313-001 Rev D Section 2.9.9 on the above option.
Option 702-1 Connector Plug is also available
The option consists of a jumper connector to close the
safety chains. This is required if a FlexPendant is not
connected.0 -
It is no problem to run without flexpendant. You can plug or unplugg it during ICR5 is runnig. I did it many times. Flexpendant is conected via ethernet cable in the controller. It is probably something like PC.0

You can unplug it, but unless you have the run-chain jumpered out, the robot will not move.
Also, I don't think pulling the plug on a powered system without the hot-plug option described above is an action that anyone from ABB is going to recommend.
If you are doing this because you want to restart the FlexPendant, you should use the joystick restart sequence to restart it.
