Warning-Avoid Critical Update 832894 [WebWare Server]
When this patch is applied to an existing WebWare Server installation, the browser on the server PC may no longer display the device tree and will show a connection status of "Disconnected" in the status bar.
Uninstalling the patch will restore site functionality, and it appears (though it has yet to be confirmed) that a WebWare Server installation after the patch has been applied will not be affected.
The root cause of this issue is under investigation and a workaround will be published as soon as it is available.

Hello
I'm facing exactly shis problem
I see at interlink that interface with ww server is running. But I cannot see anything on device tree the ww staus is disconected.
I'm using ww server 4.0 and windows 2000 professional.
The interesting thing is that I could see the device tree at the server but not at a client computer. After reinstall ww server I cannot see in server or in a client computer.
I took a look at ad/remove programs in the server, and could not fina any hot fix with this number

Hi
Haven't seen this problem on any version's after 3.2.100 that is related to a security update. But what you can try is to uninstall the IE update Q867801 and see if that works.
Usally Microsoft implements old updates in newer ones that's why the update name can differ depending on when you ran the windows update.
