network access
this is my problem
i want to access program files on our factory network true the S4C+ controller.
what must i do to do so.
we have 3 S4C+ ,1 pc and 1 server , we have stored the programfiles on the server for easy acces, control and for security reasons (if the S4C+ crashes all files wil be on the server )
i can access the files via my pc and put them on the S4C+ controller no problem there.
on the teachpendant i have 2 options ( floppy and hd0a ) but no network that i can access
must i install aditional software ? and if so what is the name of it.

If you want to be able to see an external drive located on your PC from the robot file manager, you need one of these controller options: Ethernet Services-FTP or Ethernet Services-NFS, depending on which service (FTP or NFS) you will have running on the PC.
It's possible that Ethernet Services also requires either the RAP or FactoryWare Interface option (one or the other), but there is no mention of this in the product documentation. If you need to have Ehternet Services added to your keystring, your local ABB support person will be able to tell you if you also need RAP or FactoryWare as well.
