CATIA V5 Converter

Our Corporate CAD system is CATIA V5.  We have been using the V5 converters with RS 5.07.01.  After a recent upgrade from CATIA V5.16 to V5.17, the converter no longer works.  I tried both importing geometry and the CAD converter.  Will the converter be upgraded when RS 5.08 is released?  In the meantime, is there workaround or patch?

Hi Jim,

RobotStudio 5.08 will support CATIA V5 R17. There is no workaround for 5.07.01 (other than exporting from CATIA in another format, if possible).

I am still having problems converting CATIA V5 R17 CATProduct files.  The pop-up message is "The procedure entry point ?ComputeBox@CAT3DFaceGP@@EAEXM@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library CATViz.dll."

The log file shows: "Warning : SPAXCATIAV5Base library not loaded."

I am using RS 5.10, and have verified the .dll file is installed.

Hi Jim,

You are using RS 5.10, right? Please check that the versions of the files SPAXCATIAV5Base.dll and CATViz.dll are 18.0.0.7299 or 18.0.0.7306. If not, then your problem may be due to an installation problem.

If this does not solve your problem, then I would recommend you to send one of your problem files to your local ABB representative that can forward it to our support team. This will ensure correct treatment of your case.

Clarification:

The file CATViz.dll is located in the folder
C:Program FilesABB Industrial ITRobotics ITRobotStudioBinlib3dxintel_acodein
and shall be of version 5.18.1.7234.

The file SPAXCATIAV5Base.dll is located in the folder
C:Program FilesABB Industrial ITRobotics ITRobotStudioBin
and shall be of version 18.0.0.7299.

I'm getting the same message when I try to process a CATIA v5 file. 
My RobotStudio version is 5.15.5405.2005
version of SPAXCATIAV5Base.dll  is 23.0.1.12335
CATViz.dll is 5.22.0.11287
