RUNNING PROCESSES

Hi when i close RS 5.07 there are a number of processes still runing in the task manager.

They use a lot of Mb for no reason.

why is this???

Can they all be shot down like in RS3,2 where we had the red circel with the white cross??

Hi,

When you have closed RS there should be two processes still running, "RobComCtrlServer.exe" and "RobNetScanHost.exe". Theses are used to detect robot controllers (both virtual and real) connected to your network. If your PC fulfill the recommended hardware specification in Release Note for RS, I think the memory use for these processes will be negligible compared to all other processes used by Windows.

But of course can you shot them down from the TaskManager if you want, they will automatically be started the next time you start RS.
