Replacing Robot with another model in same system
Options
in RobotStudio
Hi,
I am working on robot studio. I created one system with IRB 4400 and now want to replace that robot with IRB 4600. When i use system edit and change the robot manipulator get easily replaced. But problem is that config of previous robot is remained as it is. which make problem while simulation play. It doesnt take the path created.
I need help from experts. please assist.

There might be a more straightforward way of doing it in newer additions of RobotStudio, but I still make a new virtual controller and then intentionally break the old virtual controller connection.
- Create a new VC with all the correct robot options.
- Close RS and rename the old VC folder name.
- Open the station in RS, get error message that VC can't connect and do you want to find it manually.
- Click yes, and find the newly created VC for that station to connect to instead.
- Save the station.
