Why not create a VirtualUnit in VirtualBus?Does your SW can read directly from RS? So you can create signal without unit.Or make a SmartComponent linked to your SW which is connected to this signal...☑️2024 - RobotStudio® User Group5

Hello,If you're using ProfiNet, I've made these SmartComponent:RSConnectGIOToSnap7
You can find them in RS in Add-ins Tab.

Hello Denis,I want to simulate the Robot by creating a virtual device and assigning some signals(in Robot Studio) and visualise the signals with our own software that lists them out.To do so, I tried to create an Industrial Network (Profinet) and also some signals, so that I can interface with the robot. But I could not create it in Configuration --> IO system. Can you let me know if this is possible?0

"Does your SW can read directly from RS?........."Neither direct signal communication nor SmartComponent gets displayed by the Software except the back up of real devices (PROFINET in my case). For the old project, we got the backup files from the real robot controller and so these devices and communication protocols were already present. I am working with a new project and so I cannot use those files.0
