S4 Controller has nothing but cursor blinking after long power down

Hello all,
I hope you are all well

So I have an S4 controller which was turned off for the last week. When the tech came in to start up the line he flipped the cabinet back on to the robot and nothing came up.

The teach pendant only shows a blinking cursor and has no ability to access any menus at all.

There is no way to load the back up.

The batteries are good as well.


Please help and thank you in advance.

Do you have a count or only blinking cursor?

Can you switch with an other TP?

No count only the cursor and we did try another TP with the same result.

What is the colour of the LED's on the computer cards?

If there is no time, and you have the keydisk and the RW diskettes pull out all the cards (DSQC326,316,317/321), clean the slots, disconnect the battery, wait  a little, put back all the cards and wait the system asking for instalation

But of course , check the leds

If you have to reinstall system, prefer use TFTP, if you can.

I will have to get back to the system however I know there is one card without any lights that are lit

May I ask? Why use TFTP?

@sizemorejk: Because reinstall with diskette is very long and may crash some times...
