ABB IRC5 Communication with Fronius through Anybus M40
Hi
I am currently working with a IRC5 connected to a Fronius TPSi through the Anybus M40 module supplied by Fronius.
The Fronius module keeps saying that it is not connected on the IRC5 Teach pendant. I assume that I have the wrong configuration file loaded.
Can someone please assist me with the connection settings.
Kind Regards
Morne

Hi
Just to add the correct information, the robot controller is a IRB 2600, Welding power pack is a TPSi400 and the Anybus module code is ABCC-M40-PIR V.1.33

What communication protocol is this (EthernetIP, DeviceNet, Profinet)?

Profinet Protocol0

So far we have been using the above software to create a IPPNIO.xml file to load onto the robot, but with no progress.0 -
Sorry I will not be much help have only done one system with Profinet.
Just to cover the basics you need the controller/device option on the IRC5 - do you have this?
Do you have a copy of the ABB application manual for the Profinet option?

We have currently connect to the Profinet network through a Phoenix contact FL Switch SFN 5TX. Through this we have communications to the PLC, and to the Anybus module, but not to the Fronius TPS4000
