maximum possible payload

Hi all,
is there any way how could I determine the maximum possible load that can robot whitstand in a given position? I have IRB1600 - 1.2 m that can hold up to 10kg. The robot has to hold object that isnt more than 1kg but at first it has to pull that object out from its holder. The problem is that you need an extra force (I was told that it will be more than 20kg) to pull that out because it is held tightly. The other problem is that robot is near its maximum reach so I suppose that it's maximum load is reduced in that position. Is there any way I could simulate this in robotstudio? I thought that it would be possible in signal analyzer just to see the force robot can develop in actual tcp position but unfortunately this is not possible. How can I know if the robot can develop the extra force for a short moment of time? thank you

Hello,You can use RobotLoad and found it at:

With ABB robots if the stated load is 10 kg then the robot can handle 10 kg any where in its working envelope.
Further if the wrist is within 10° of vertical the robot can handle more payload - in your robots case up to 12 kg.
In this case because the load is double you will need to contact your local ABB team - they can have the factory support team evaluate if the overload is permissible and what the motion parameters need to be tuned to achieve reliable operation if it is allowable..
