Hi my name is JR and I was recently promoted from technician to robot programmer. I am working on my first cell with an IRB 6700 245/3.0 and I am having trouble configuring my IO. My question is how do I import EDS files into robot studio or do I even need to? We just got the robot and I don’t have power to it yet and I won’t until next week. The customer is coming in on Friday and I would like to have the IO configured by then. We have an input module DSQC1030 16in and 16out that im working with.

First off, you don't import EDS files into RS. You can find template IO configs here: C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Local\ABB Industrial IT\Robotics IT\RobotWare\RobotWare_6.06.0115\utility\service\ioconfig Or, you can just use RS to add your IO Unit and map the signals.Lee Justice0
