robot irb 120
in RobotStudio
Hello everyone,
I would like to know if with the robot IRB 120 could perform a machining operation. In fact, I would like to machine a sphere with my robot, I would like to know if it is possible to do it with the robot IRB 120. the pin that I bought for this work weighs 2 Kg. The simulation software that I uses is robotstudio / machining powerpac.
Thank you in advance.

I suppose as long as it does not exceed the robot payload. Being such a small robot it might not be rigid enough, though. You should look into Robotware option FC machining. That might also tell you if it is available for that robot type, thus further determining its suitability.Lee Justice0
