RobotStudio not simulating material physics

in RobotStudio

I am trying to write a pick and place program for the circle piece. When I run the simulation, the gripper is not interacting with the circle piece. It just opens and closes and does not pick up the circle. I have set the material physics to dynamic. I am hoping someone would be able to tell me what am I missing.

Did you set the gripper fingers to be kinematic?
