I have restored a backuop in my station but still trying to get a working version back after a crash left we mit errors.
Is the backup functionality expected to be used for that?

The only other way I can think of is writing out pack and go archives. Is that what people do during development?
I find it really useful to jump pack to yesterday and compare what changed if i break something but havent found a good way to do that with robotstudio.

Not sure about others but I normally use backups as I have found the station to be stable but the VC can get corrupt and you loose all your programing.

The backup is the same as for the real controller - RAPID program and configuration files.
If the VC gets totally corrupt you have build another one with the same options and then restore the backup.

I have my code in git additionally but once the controller fails to start there isnt much chance for debugging
