RS2019.3: Paint Applicator not working with multiple parts

I am using the Paint Applicator Component and I don't know how to switch between parts (to be painted) automatically. There is also the problem that only parts on the root of the tree are selectible.

When I use multiple paint applicators then all parts are shown, even if they shouldn't be visible and the spray function doesn't work.
