I have recently noticed with robotware 5.08.02 that third party FTP clients are not allowed access to the root directory of the robot controller.  I have even tried setting up different login accounts with full administrative privileges with no success.  Has there been an internal change with this revision of the controller software which prevents users from accessing the root directory from a third party FTP client?  The only way to get to this level is through RSO, but sometimes it is quicker to use other FTP clients for file management.

    I answered my own question...

    You can still access the root but you must specify like this in your FTP parameters: "/hd0a/" for the starting directory.
