Serial communication with IRC5
Hi,
Our IRC5 comes with DSQC 1003 expansion board, which gives us 2 RS232 ports, one of which is dedicated to debugging and cannot be used. However, now we would like to have two serial port (not necessary RS232) to communicate with other two sensors. Is it possible to use the USB port on the controller as a communication channel?
When going to Configuration/Communication in RobotStudio, I failed to see any other serial port to config, other than COM1, which is the RS232 port of the DSQC 1003 board. Any suggestion? Thank you.

Hi
We used the USB-Serialadapter which is used for Calpendelumcalibration.
This is the only adaper that works.See attached screenshot.
But you must buy it at ABB.
