I came across a point in a program today that had vReset - what does that actually do?

    If you mean it was specified in a move instruction for the speed, nothing.  Just find where it is declared, it should just be the name someone chose to call it.  AFAIK, speeddata cannot do anything else but determine the motion velocities.
