3D Printing

Hello everyone,

does anyone know the difference between PrintL in 3D Printing Add-in and the normal MoveL command from the motion control perspective?

Thanks and Best Regards,

  • Hi Shuang,

PrintL has built in functionality that can be used to communicate with an external control system.

    The following signals are predefined:
aoTCP_3DP = The robot TCP speed.
goEvalue_3DP = Relative extrusion distance from the previous point (the E-value in the G-code).
doEquActive_3DP = Signal is high when the process is on. Can be used to turn on/off the external process equipment.

Except for the signals above, PrintL behaves as a MoveL instruction.

You can read more about this in the 3DP Application manual on page 49.
