import geometry problem
in RobotStudio
A part I made with Inventor had holes in it, and it was saved as .SAT and then imported to RS, but the holes in the part didn't interact with other parts when this part was assigned as "Dynamic". I could see the holes in the part, but they didn't exist for other parts.
The same part I made with RS, the holes worked fine

Hi,
I don't have much experience with this but it could be due to the collision geometry; try selecting "use original geometry" and see if that makes a difference. The simulation may be approximating the geometry to a simplified shape for faster computation.
I tried to upload a screenshot of the option but I can't for some reason. When you right click the object it's under Physics > Collision Geometry > Use original Geometry. The option Show collision geometries might help you see the effect.
Good Luck,
Harry
