RAB 5.09 released

RAB 5.09 has been released.

Please see the enclosed Release Notes for information about new functions. PC SDK users should especially notice the Release Notes sections 'Installation' and 'Compatibility' before installlation.

For 5.09 the RAB user documentation has been further improved. The PC SDK and FP SDK Reference have method signatures in both Visual Basic and C#, for example.

In the document there is a "Robot Application Builder requires a design time license."

How about the run time ? What needs to be installed on the customer's PCs running the aplication that we made with RAB ? Is there any limitation or extra cost for that ?

The robot controller must have the RobotWare Option PC Interface for a PC app or FLexPendant Interface for a FlexPendant app for your RAB app to work.

On the target PC, you must install two components which are redistributable, i.e. no extra cost: the Robot Communications Runtime from the RobotWare CD, and the PCSDK functional components, which are included in a merge module when you install RAB.
