Path return called on RunRoutineButton press after Jogging

This is a machine running RW 5, when pressing a RunRoutineButton that performs a searchL command successfully and then jogging to a new position and pressing the same button again, the robot returns to the position of the previous button press before running the routine, is this expected?
I have tested with RW 6 and it doesn't return to the first position.
If this isn't expected, is there any workaround or fix for this?
