Jump To Target

FYI::RS 5.09:::When jumping to a target with configuration that is not verified RS gives an error "Robtarget out of reach".  When this happens the modal configuration window dissapears because the flex pendant has opened to show the error and RS becomes unresponsive. When this occurs the only thing that will kill RS is the task manager.

""Workaround: Use the "configuration" dialog to set config and move to target rather than the Jump to target command""

  • Hi
    Can't see the problem here?
Is the target reachable or not because the vc wont report any valid configurations if the target isn't reachable.
Do you have the VFP up and running when this happens?

Tried to reproduce it but I couldn't.
Maybe it's a graphical problem, have you tried to switch to Direct3D render instead (in options
    ender)

  • This has happened twice since I have upgraded to 5.09.  I cannot recreate this either.  I am going back and forth from Layout to Programming  and using the simulation to write a program that loops through 16 different welding routines.

    When this occurs:

The Flex Pendant is open but minimized.

I use jump to target,  the smaller automatic configuration confirmation box opens for a second then the flex pendant opens showing a "RobTarget out of reach" error even though it actually gets there. When I get rid of the flex pendant RS is locked up as if waiting for input.

  • I see
Another thing you could do is to turn of configuration check when doing a jump to (won't bring up the modal dialog). And you do that in ToolsOptionsMechanism.
