Connect S4C+ to 327A

I am trying to connect a S4C+ to 327A. The 327A get both LEDS green (MS and NS), however when I try to add a DO signal I get this message on my teach pendant "No new signals can be made. Use predefined ones". I tried adding an eio.cfg file with the outputs but when I transfer it via FileZilla to the controller I get the message that says that is not possible to copy this file to the system. What can I do to add this output? Am I skipping a step?

I could not open the links due to IT security.
Are there signals already defined for this unit in the EIO file?
If so rename these if the name or other settings are not correct for your application.

  • The signals that I got are the safety signals, like brake, chain 1 and 2 and so on. I tried to add them to a program but still doesn’t let me and I can’t edit their parameters.
  • Please attached the EIO.cfg file.
  • The EIO file is the next one:

You do not have the unit in your EIO file.
Are the MS and NS LED's flashing or on solid?
I will see if i can find the manual on adding this unit to the EIO file.
  • Below is from the manual on setting up the unit type.
Once this is done with no errors (both NS and MS LED's should be on solid), you can define the signals.

  • It worked. Thank you very much. The leds were green but the eio was the problem. I restore the system with an usb using the eio I edited and it worked.
