Es 1 and Es2 problem
Hi,
Just wondered if anyone had ever seen a situation where the column of yellow LEDs on the safety board inside the IRC5 controller were all on (ES,AS,GS etc) but when looking at the inputs on the teachpendant the corresponding inputs were at 0, putting the system in error.
In my current case the lights are all on, but ES1 and ES2 (as shown under Inputs and Outputs => Safety Signals) are showing zero, and there is an Emergency Stop error active.
I always thought that when the lights were on, the related safety function was in a healthy state.
We've tried linking the estops out (on X1/X2 of the safety board) but the situation persists, i.e. the issue appears to be with the controller not the field wiring.

If you have got the jumpers in place as per the circuit diagram on ES1 and ES2 then there must be a fault on the safety board.
Note that the jumper must connect to al three terminals (3,4, & 5) on each of the X1 and X2 plugs.
