IsCollFree() not working with trigger signal?

I did discover that IsCollFree() function will return always TRUE, if I connect trigger flag to my collision object.
Has anybody else noticed that?
Is it bug or feature? Manuals do not mention that, but is it meant so that in this case you have to use this flag instead?
