How can I connect Visual component with the real controller ?

I have a problem with the IRC not containing a PC interface option, which prevents me from connecting it to my PC. I had a solution: use a PLC as an intermediary between the WAGO 10 board and my PC to connect the robot to the visual component. The robot controller is now a slave of a PC station, because the robot is included in a production cell. How do I connect the visual component to the robot? Can I add another PLC and connect it to the VC? How?
