Upgrading RAPID memory
Options
Hello, we have a 2024 ABB robot and we use OMNICORE, which we control with a flexpendant, AlphaCam and RoboDK for our drawings, and we have a wide variety of products. The OMNICORE system limits the RAPID memory to 100MB. Yes, you heard that right. A brand new 2024 model robot has 100MB of memory. While radios today have 2-4GB of memory, having this much memory on such a large robot was quite disappointing. We contacted ABB, confident that this memory would be increased, but we were shocked. They said, "It's not possible to increase this memory." This ridiculous thing has brought us to a point where we can't even produce anything with the robot. I would be very grateful if anyone has any information on this and can help. How can we increase this RAPID memory? Thank you.

Rapid programs rarely ever get that large. In such instances where memory becomes short (this has been addressed this way for years), users resort to loading and unloading modules as required to run different products. Those instructions can be found in the manual - Instructions, functions and datatypes.Lee Justice0
