Easiest way to integrated 3D camera for quality inspection tasks.

I want to use a 3D camera to determine volume and dents on an automobile. The ABB Integrated Vision System offers a 2D solution. However, I am keen to explore 3D options, which can easily integrate with the latest ABB RobotStudio. As of now, I am not really concerned with real life application, but only with the simulation of the enviornment, where a 3D camera is mounted on a robot to check the quality of parts in terms of minor dents and volume. I wonder if there is something very compatible with the ABB RoboStudio, but I can try the alternatives as well.
