RW5 to RW6 Now have the fault "Axis Computer Not Found"
I have an issue with the error “39522 Axis Computer Not Found” after doing RW5 to RW6 Conversion
- It system faults the robot, so I can’t do much in RobotStudio.
Does anybody know the solution?
It seems like DSQC601 needs a firmware update or some magic setting change?
- Purchased Kit DSQC639 to DSQC1094
- Robotware from 5.15 to 6.16 (and have a licence file)
- DSQC601
- Boot software version 15
- Hardware Revision 9
- FPGA Software version 101
- Board Name DSQC601
Axis computer works with DSCQ639 and 5.15; (I reverted back and robot was happy with old computer)
Get the above fault with the RW6.16 on the new computer
- RJ45 Connection on main computer shows lights flashing slowly (i.e physically something there, but no coms)
- RJ45 Connection on Axis Computer shows light flashing slowly
- The Axis Computer Status Light is slowly flashing green/yellow. (With 5.15 LED is constant)
- If I pull the connection from the Axis Computer, the status light goes red
I’ve never had much to do with RW5;
- Anecdotally, a bunch of the internal control equipment, including the drives, appears to be on DeviceNet with RW5.
- Is the Axis Computer still trying to talk DeviceNet somewhere? i.e a magic MOC string I need to set, or somehow connect to the axis computer and change a setting.

Hi...I believe the problem is due to the incompatibility of the DSQC601's firmware and MOC network protocol. Migrating from RobotWare 5.15 (which uses older MOC protocols such as DeviceNet) to RobotWare 6.16 requires the axis computer (DSQC601) to use the high-speed MOC Ethernet architecture. Error 39522 (“Axis Computer Not Found”) is the symptom of this incompatibility.I suggest a firmware update for the DSQC601 so that it can establish the handshake and participate in the new RW6.16 MOC network. Although the RAPID and Operation manuals do not detail the procedure, the need for the update is a direct consequence of the change in the IRC5 controller communication architecture, as documented in the Controller Software manuals.Good job!0

Awesome thanks; I'm waiting on firmware and utility tool from ABB.0
