Interlink 4.7sp1 [WebWare SDK]

Dear WebWare users,

To enhance stability and quality of WebWare, ABB has released Service Pack 1 (SP1) for WebWare 4.7.
The Service Pack is a new version of the InterLink Module.
WebWare 4.7 users are encouraged to install this Service Pack.

In this Service Pack

The Service Pack contains these enhancements:

Modem/IRC5 -
InterLink does not connect to an IRC5 robot via Modem line. This is now solved.
Version in RobAPI -
InterLink can not read controller version from RobAPI interface. This is now solved.
Error when archiving database -
Sometimes there has been difficulties to archive a database. This is now solved.
NFS -
NFS does not work with RobotWare 5.07.05 and higher version. This is now solved.
Problem to backup encrypted files via FTP or RAP -
There is no way to save a encrypted module via WebWare. A complete backup will include encrypted files but a single module will fail.
Connect several controllers via FTP -
When InterLink tries to connect to several (30-50) controllers via FTP, the connection from the datacollector is slowed down and backup fails. The fix for this is done by increasing the timeout for connection (10 to 60 s) and for commands (8 to 20 s) in the FTP-client. When there is still no connection and the system makes a retry after the initial 60 s the timeout is decreased to its original 10 s.
Dual Core -
Interlink support Dual Core-processors.

How to install InterLink 4.7 SP1

Close all open applications on the desktop. Make sure that InterLink Monitor and Device Configuration are closed down. If WebWare Server and the InterLink module are on the same computer, close down WebWare Server by stopping the service. It can be found at Control PanelAdministrative ToolsServices. Stop the service named "ABB WebWare".
Make sure that InterLink Monitor and Device Configuration are closed down.
If InterLink is installed as a service it has to be stopped. It can be found at Control PanelAdministrative ToolsServices. Stop the service named "Interlink".
If InterLink is not installed as a service it should close down automatically when no other programs are depending on it. This can easily be checked by opening the Task Manager. Under the Processes tab InterlinkMonitor.exe, RIMCfg.exe and interlink.exe should not exist.
Copy the new interlink.exe (found in the folder named "SP1" on the WebWare Product Installation CD) to the InterLink install directory. Default path is "C:Program FilesCommon FilesABB Automation InterLink". Choose to overwrite the old exe-file or rename it in that case you want to revert to 4.7.
If InterLink is installed as a service, restart the service. Otherwise start any program that utilizes InterLink.
If WebWare was closed down in step 1, then restart it.
Interlink Module 4.7SP1 was verified with S4C+ RobotWare version 4.0.121 and IRC5 RobotWare version 5.09.01.
