Reset UAS Settings

Hello,

We use the UAS settings. That means that by us, the default user has few rights on the robot. After the the loading of our UAS configuration, it is no more possible to load a new system with robot studio online to the bootserver. (with Ethernet)

Is there a solution to change the user used by "robot studio online system builder" by building the connection with the bootserver?

Is there a solution to erase the UAS settings of the robot and come back to the factory UAS settings?

Thanks a lot!

  • Hello Eric,

    Contact your Local ABB Customer Service Office. There is a method to set the UAS on the robot controller back to Default by using a hyperterminal command.

  • hyperterminal command   -->  uas_disable<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

    system will restart... access ok

    new restart will enable it once again.

  • Hi,

    You need to use a null modem serial cable and plug it into the console port on the controller.

    If you do not have a serial (RS232) connector on you computer you will have to use a USB to serial converter.

    Then you use HyperTerminal to communicate with the controller.

    Once you get the terminal window up you can type the uas_disable command in at the prompt.
