S3 serial connection
I have a problem with serial communication via windows pc and the S3 controller.
I have connected the X5 connector with a straigth cable (9 pin full connected) to a pc via DB9 connector.
I think that cable is right.
I have tried some configuration like 9600 8N1, but selecting function TO SC on controller I cannot read nothing from serial port.
Someone can help me?
There is a already build software for communicate with S3 controller?
I have to use a particular protocol to communicate with S3?
Regards
JJ

Hi Jumping Jack,
You must use a cross cable that have a pin2_robot connect to the pin3_PC and Pin3_Robot connect to the Pin2_PC and the Pin5_robot connect Pin5_PC. Is a cable RS232 cross over. Its RX to Tx and Tx to Rx in DB9 connector.

Hello guys
I have similar problems before and I gave up then. there is a cable used to be ok then, and I just did not know how to set serial port communication parameters in .
Guess I can have a test too later.
Thank you all for the information!

I have finally tried Sport S3 with it's cable configuration.
It's a very good thing (I don't know how much expensive is, a this time)
I don't know how to communicate manually with the robot.
Thank you all for the answers.
