External Axis And Path Finding

in RobotStudio
Hello everybody,
I want to follow a complicated flat (2D) path to do some work on a part. For this I can use the create path from curve feature.
However my robot's reach is too small and I need to put the part on a rotary table (external axis).
Now since the part will be rotating how can robotstudio solve this problem?

Hi,
RobotStudio can do the trick, but you need to have an additional options mediapool that supports the rotating unit.
Check if your ABB contact can provide you with one.
Kind regards,

This should work with MultiMove controlling the external axis.
I have tried this a few times and got it to work in robotstudio. Set the rotator as holding the workpeice and the robot as the tool. You can then create the path in the moving work object and once given a good starting position it works out the rest of the moves for you.
