CAD converter
I want to use a new tool, different from the ABB library. I use SolidWorks 2008 program. I can attach the tool to the robot, but the tool doesn't work properly. When i create a path from curve, i can't VIEW TOOL AT TARGET.
I also try to convert my 3D tool from the SolidWorks2008 using the CAD converter, but there is an error : license error.
What this error means? the license refers to the RobotStudio license or other license?
thanks a lot

Hi,
You need to define the tool using the "Create Tool Wizard". Import the geometry and go through the steps of the Wizard. The wizard is available in the Create menu of the Layout mode. You should save the tool as a library after completion of the wizard. Then you can reuse your tool in other stations as well.
The CAD converters requires additional licenses. Unless SW can export in SAT format which is the native format of RS, you need to convert your geometry to SAT.
