Configure EPS and SafeMove

In robot studio how can I configure EPS and SafeMove? There is no Safety Computer to download the safety file and activate the pin number. If it is not possible now will it be possible in RS 5.11?

    Hi James,

    In version 5.10, EPS and SafeMove can be configured by RobotStudio Online (RSO) extended with the add-ins available on the RobotWare CD. RobotStudio 5.10 cannot be used to configure EPS and SafeMove. There is no VC support for these features.

    In 5.11, when RSO is integrated with RS, then EPS and SafeMove can be configured from the Online part of RS, without the need of installing any additional add-ins. The VC will still not be able to simulate the safety configuration, though.

    Hello Henrick,

    How can I add this to the RS wish list? It would be a nice feature to have. It would be helpful to plan safety areas.

    Hi Jim,

    There a big potential for improving usability by adding virtual support for configuration of EPS and SafeMove parameters. It is already on the wish-list and is something that may be considered for the next steps of SafeMove depending on customer demands and market situation.
