Cannot write I/O signals on IRC5 [WebWare SDK]
I have been receieving several error reports from customers stating that they are unable to write I/O signals using Webware SDK 4.0.437, using the Helper control or the RobotBox (RobotDIO).
This is not a defect however. It is related to the security system on the IRC5 controller. I/O signals, by default, do not have the the necessary Access Level in order for WW SDK to write signals.
One solution is changing the Access Level for I/O signals. If you are using RobotStudio Online:
1. Goto Configuration -> I/O -> Signal
2. Right click on the appropriate signal, click "Edit signal(s)"
3. Change the Access Level to "All"
Please not that this will give everyone access to modify the signal you just edited. Permissions for I/O signals needs to be set individually.
For more information about IRC5 security, please refer to the product manual.
