Version of RobotStudio that support Force control

Hi,

I am currrently using RobotStudio 5.10.

However, it seems that Force Control functionality is not available in the version that I am currently using (or may be I do not know where to activate it).

May I know how can I activate it or which version of RobotStudio should I install in order to have the force control functionality for machining?

Thanks.

  • It should be available through the virtual key, you also may wish to install the ForceControl Machining Additional Option on your PC from the RobotWare CD. Unfortunately, though, I am unaware of any mechanism to simulate the force sensor that is required to use force control, so you may a difficult time doing any meaningful simulation.

  • With RobotStudio 5.11 you may install Add-Ins Machining PowerPacs. it's designed for ForceControl simulation.
with virtural key you can choose RW options 877-1 Machining FC, 661-2 Assembly FC. The limitation is without Additional option key FC GUI & Flexpendant Interface, you can't use the ForceControl GUI (Graphic User Interface)

    Hi all,

I have a problem that the force control is not activated in my robotstudio as shown in the attched photo. Currently I using a trial version. Is it because this is a trial version or some other resones. I have activiated the 877-1 Machining FC GUI and  661-2 Force control base.

    Thanks so much
