Hello,
I'm writing a vision aided desktop application and I would like it to communicate with the virtual controller. I noticed that when the virtual controller is started, com1 is taken, but I don't understand how to connect virtually with com1 by null-modem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Avital

The virtual controller does not use the host PC's serial port, you need physical controller hardware to use the serial port.Russell Drown0

So in practice, it means that it isn't possible to use the virtual controller to simulate a scenario where the work-flow is supported by a PC application?
That could be a deal breaker.

No you are rigth but if you use ethernet all funktions can be testet in VC.Have greate succes with both PC HMI programming in RAB and socket communication. No diffence from VC to real controller. With FP interface there is some difference to taking care of.See postes in RAB forum.BR.
